City Palace JJ Vecquemans (KUMS)_DMT Architects_ 1997-2000

Antwerp Belgium

Conversion and restoration of a classified 18th century city palace into luxury offices.

The geometry of the suite of rooms is complemented in the offices by a custom design, integrating contemporary techniques.

In the reception area, instead of the former alcove bed, there now is a monumental sofa and a wall in blue glass that resembles an enlarged folding screen. New paneling gives scale to the high rooms and integrate convector casings (DMT).
